Fine Designs Architecture

can provide a full Architects professional design service from a free-of-charge initial consultation to understand the client’s design brief, to the sketch design, to securing local authority Planning and Building Warrant approvals and if required, a site works inspection service that looks after the client’s interests on site, to the completion of the works, and obtaining the local authorities Completion Certificate.

We believe in a personal approach where ideas can be discussed and developed with the clients, the result being a well-thought-out, unique and clever design that has managed to make use of every design opportunity.

We also ensure that the scheme is costed before we proceed to obtaining any local authority approvals to ensure that the desired scheme is affordable and meets with the client’s budget. We are committed to providing the highest standard of professional service to all our clients.

Sustainable and Ecological Design

We appreciate the importance of an energy conscious design. With a strong understanding of the natural characteristics of the site, its orientation and relationship to the natural sun path, prevailing winds and topography, an alteration, extension or new development can benefit greatly in terms of solar gain and day light management, passive air movement and a direct relationship with the site.

We look to incorporate passive and active methods of energy generation and preservation, where possible to achieve an energy sustainable design. Ground source heat pumps, solar panels and wind turbines are now seen as an economic investment. High performance building envelopes carefully insulated will provide a sustainable and energy saving design.
